In a landmark move to position Enugu State as a hub for sustainable innovation and industrial growth, the state government has commenced the development of an electric vehicle (EV) assembly plant in Owo community, Nkanu East Local Government Area. The project, a collaboration with Stallion MG Automobiles Ltd., was officially launched by Governor Peter Mbah on May 28, 2025, during a foundation-laying ceremony attended by key state officials and representatives from Stallion Group .
